Go to your local show or go ratting?

Recommended Posts

We usually go to the local terrier and lurcher show today but decided shows are fairly crap  so late yesterday afternoon Pointer organised some ratting with friends instead. Arrived at the farm at around 12.30ish and helped the farmer put a shed up while we were waiting for one of our friends to arrive :icon_eek: . Started ratting around 1.15p.m. It was a bit manic, no time for action pics, rats were trying to escape up the pipes but we got them back down with sticks, managed quite a few little ones but the lurcher and the terrier pup swallowed a few which the pup decided to regurgitate in back of my car on the way home   .

We had a good laugh with friends :friends: and a happy farmer at the end of the afternoon :good: .

Better to work them than look at them in a ring :notworthy: and looks like you had fun :clapper: .I did the same a couple of weeks back, had a few hours at threshing with my 2 dog terriers as the bitches were all in season and the lads needed a venting of pent up steam and it was ratting or a show :hmm: 40 rats,2 vented happy terriers and a slightly chilled kennel block! .

There cant be many things better on a sunny day than a bit of ratting.

My pup didnt do much except get in the way and to be honest isnt the sharpest tool in the box but i like him. :D

I do sometimes look at him and wonder if much goes on in his little head,i cant see him being a canine brainbox.:doh:
