jen.d 0
put my mare into foal to our stallion last october time ruffly but any way was definatly due to foal in august but during either april or march she lost it so we thought as went down an had a little coloured lifeless colt on the floor but now the mare looks as tho she is still in foal and started to get big underneath like she did with her last foal from last year so was wondering could she have been carrying twins an lost one but still carrying the other has anybody had anything like this before or is it possible
brockbart 6
yes it is still possible she is carrying a foal, i have known 2 mares this year that throw a twin out early and went on to foal.good luck.
DIGZY 4
yes mares slip the twin foals alot and have the other foal just hope the filly foal is still in the womb
Hannah4181 260
As has been suggested, mares can lose a foal early on and hold the twin full term. If it was me i would be getting a scan done.
