Daveo 61
Right im fairly sure i have a problem with my kits, They are roughthly 3 or 4 weeks old. They seem perfectly healthy and are growing well but they have really thin whispy fur. The kits skin looks healthy, its pink not dry or anything and the jill is unaffected They are in clean hay and the jill is fed whole carcases, They grew normal fur to start with and started changing colour from white to polecat colours then they went bald. I have fed the mother probably 1 raw egg a week since she had them, I think this might be the cause Iv read feeding eggs excessivly can cause fur loss in ferrets but i thought one a week was ok? Any had this before? Quote Link to post
ferretertom 7
Could be to many eggs but i doubt it it sounds more like mites/mange but you wont realy know until they have finished growing all the kit fur. Quote Link to post
Daveo 61
The jill is unaffected though. Quote Link to post
The one 8,503
Are they albinos ?? i think because of the body colour showing threw the hair it will look wispy Quote Link to post
