Hello, My licence is due for renewal and I don't think I will have it back before the expiry date, I share the cabinet with my father who has all but one of my guns on his licence, How do I put the missing gun on his licence? and do I have to inform the police? cheers. Ben

Depends how long you think the gap will be. Have a word with your FEO they might be able to issue a temp cert to cover the gap. Shouldn't be too difficult to add it to your dads cert.

The cops should issue a temp permit if you put yours in in anything like a reasonable time frame. They rarely do, however.

 

It's easy to put a shgotgun on another ticket as you don't need a slot as you do with an FAC. Just notify the cops that you have done it. To be honest, all the guns should be on both certs anyway if you are sharing a cabinet as you both have access to them.
