poacher3161 1,766
I find it supriseing peoples obsesions with one cross type lurchers [bANNED TEXT] out of the two imho a cross between a grey/deerhound back to a wheaten/grey would produce offspring that were more versatile in the allround lurcher stakes than their f1x parents. i am well up for that but the lighly hood of that cross coming up is not that good is it ? i know you can wait a long time for a good dog but i am just at the stage of experementing with the crosses we think will work we all make our own mistakes but destiny will provide the worthy hunters with the once in a life time dog I cant speak for wheaton crosses as i have never had one but the deerhound hybreds [bANNED TEXT] crossed with other hybreds like grey/collies and grey/beddys can in some cases make that once in a life time dog.atb dell Quote Link to post

Simoman 110
Personally I would like a good deerhound cross one day but I have a wheaton and I like him even though he is only 14 months, it all depends on getting good working stock rather than the more popular shite stuff.....
