camo for my airgun

i have good a theoben rapid 7 and i want to get it apg camo so it will blend in when i go out shooting.i have seen the camo on some guns and when it is done professionally it looks really good. i have tried to find a place that does itbut had no luck.if anyone knows a place could they let me know.

 

also if anyone has got a gun that has this camo on could they send some pics and there review of it.

You have to admire Hydro Graphics work

for £4 you can wrap a bit of scrim round your gun which works well in breaking up the shape better than hydro-graphics just like a ghillie suit breaks up your shape better than cammo clothing. but you can cover every bit of your gun without and it gets caught in brambles.

please explain how scrim is better than hydrographics Aaron? and i know it breaks up the outline of your rifle but are they not both just as good aslong as you are not moving as it is movement that gives you away in the field

Movement and straight lines are what gives you away. The idea is to break up the shapes and outlines to make them less recognisable.

 

DPM/camo material attempts to do that by blending with the background in some places but not others, whereas scrim actually physically breaks up the outline, so it's better.

 

Also scrim allows you to add local vegetation, to allow you to blend even better. A sniper using a ghillie suit might change the vegetation in their suit several times in a few hundred meters to blnd properly.

£262.00 me tinks!

 

the last time i just emailed them and asked for a price to do the work.and within a few days they had emailed me back with the price,but never had it done in the end

That is a lot of money, but there work is fantastic and it speaks for itself!

If I were to ever go the camo route I would probably go to Hydroraphics from what I've heard they have a good reputation also.

 

 

For hunting especially static hunting I would probably opt for local vegitation and a scrime, just because its a lot cheaper and a lot easier to change to your surroundings.

 

Horses for courses I suppose.

like i said i understand it breaks up the outline but surley its movement that gives you away in field is it not? so it doesnt matter what your rifle looks like does it?

ive got a very easy solution for this mate ... GO NIGHT SHOOTING LOL then you dont need to worry about camo

and if i was honest you dont really need it anyway ive got shooting straight from work for work i wear grey trousers and a red polo shirt and ive still came back with good results ...

If your moving against the wind, a bunny will spot you.

If your moving very slowly bunny wont see you.

 

Flick just your middle finger at a bunny and it will leg it

Tried it out myself just to see if it works and it does!

 

Look towards a coo'ing Woody or Collard Dove in a tree and the coo'ing will stop if enough of your face reflects.

 

Camo is great, cobine it with slow stealthy movements with the wind and you can get very very close to your quarry

 

Last night, I shot a bunny within 5 mtres of where I was stood like a statue next to a headstone on a grave.

I always use this on my guns, after a while it becomes a bit sticky, but that's ok, it gives you a better grip on the gun.
