Kerry Blue X Greyhound

Recommended Posts

Here are the pictures of my kerry blue and greyhound. I heard of this breeding years back and always wanted one, so decided to put my kerry blue across my greyhound , my kerry blue works the gun ,ratting, retreives , bush's and marks .. he's also good with other dogs and exellent guard dog..now i know his working abilitys at his age of 5 thought i'd put it across my greyhound is also a good lamper and ferreting bitch. so the out come should be good.

ratting, retrieving etc. is about the limit of kerry blues, they arn't good for much and never were.Working wheatens and glens were dogs to be proud of but kerry blues and irish terriers were always a big let down,a lot loved a fight but like most working terriers the most ferocious fighters were normally the most cowardly workers.

If you want an irish bred strong dog for your greyhound then a working wheaten would be the choice but if your sport is ratting and retrieving keep away from wheatens, there is enough fools already trying hard to ruin the breed in the pursuit of fluffy coats and gay temperments.

All the best with the litter, hope they turn out really well for you. Keep us informed.
