Night Hunter 109
If moneys not a problem get an anchutz. I agree 100% I have the semi-auto well worth a look anyway....I paid about £200 for it second hand about 10 year ago and its still going strong and it still looks great. jamie g 17
hello mate dont know if you have bought your .22 yet but dont let people on here tell you the annie is a better rifle the CZ is as spot on the target the same as the quad or the annie ,,both the quad and annie are no better than the CZ fact ask any one who shoots one,,,,if you want to get ripped of with a huge price for a .22 then buy either the quad or the annie in both cases all you are paying for is the name. paul its not the case of being ripped off mate. i understand what your saying to do a job on rabbits all the 22lr rifles are about the same. but the annie and sako cost more because they are builter built. like anything you pay for the name also. ther emore refinded they have better triggers from the box. yes you can get a brooks kit buyt the annie one adjusts fully. the bolt is alot smoother also. im not knocking the cz they are superb rifles and well put togeather. they are very accurate. i use to have the style with 16 inch barrel. i sold it as i went on to different rifles. i havent got my own 22lr now but i have my dads on ticket which is a annie and its superb. it all boils down to how much you want to spend. I'd have to go along with jamie in principle here...the CZ is a superb tool and more than capable of what most people want to do (actually it's probably better than most people), but the Anschutz has a pedigree in shooting and is well made with good wood, the Sako Quad falls between the two in my book. Neither will outshoot the CZ in most peoples hands, but they are better made, it's not just the name, but from my point of view and my requirements the name is CZ!! Quote Link to post

JohnGalway 1,043
Hunt around for a second hand Sako Finfire. I had a Sako quad in .22lr for a few years, very good rifle. Traded the barrel in for a HMR as I wanted some extra legs for crow bashing. was getting sub inch at 100 yards, sub half inch at 50, killed an awful lot of vermin with it.
