Guest hairysausagefingers Posted November 17, 2006 Report Share Posted November 17, 2006 When I used to do a lot of coarse fishing about 20 years back there were various DIY electronic bite alarms that you could build. Given that technology has moved on in leaps and bounds since then, surely it must be feasible to get all the bits for a DIY locator. I don't have the knowledge to do it, but I bet it's not that hard. I mean a bite alarm works purely on movement, where as a locator works on a collar transmitting a signal, and the locator picking up that transmitted signal ? Quote Link to post
