It wont be long they are very predictable, they always think they are going to win the world cup, but never do, and the fans always start rioting wherever they go, might have started already will see on the news saturday. Simoman 110 Posted June 19, 2010 Report Share Posted June 19, 2010 Total shambles, Gerrard needed to play in the middle, Rooney looked like a Vauxhall conference player, Heskey played like a donkey with ligament damage and the rest looked like they couldnt pass a ball in a phonebox, only Cole and the substitutes looked anything like a pro footballer, its the usual anticipation by fans only to realise that the team is full of promise but can't deliver, personally I think the money and celebrity lifestyles have dulled any true passion. Now a Great Britain team would be a different story ....... NO CHANCE any Scotland fan would diss own a scottish player even thinking about playing alongside an england based team.... sad to say we even support Germany if they are playing england, infact we support any team playing against england You sound more bitter than a can of flat Iron bru On a serious note, a UK team, well players like Souness/Dagleish and a few others would of been fantastic, but can you honestly suggest a current Scottish international that is any better than the shower of shite that are currently playing for Englland. gnasher16 30,024 Posted June 19, 2010 Report Share Posted June 19, 2010 Normally im the first to spring to the defence of players when folk start on about being overpaid as i believe a man is worth what someone is willing to pay......but i must admit its hard to defend this shit !....If these players are fit which they should be,then quite clearly they are not world class footballers,its one thing performing against Wigan and Blackburn on a weekly basis and looking great but if they cant carry that into international football then they are simply not world class footballers.Messi is playing as well for Argentina as he does for Barcelona,thats because he is a world class footballer who can perform at any level. I dont think having a foreign manager helps and i believe Cappello will be the last of them,he is so defensive in his attitudes which is the Italian way,he is too tactical and doesnt allow enough freedom within our better players,we should have been aggressively attacking a weak team like Algeria yet we seem to be constantly looking over our shoulder.
