Millet, Haven't any traps out at the moment, but will in a few days. I'll take a few pics to show you how they are set. Ones with a drag and ones that are staked in place.

As much as i hate to say i was wrong.. i was.. .. but id still like to see some picture of the trap's set in there chosen spot..

well done hornhunter.. great to see the pics as i used to be really interested in the trapping in america and read alot of articles about Charles Dobbins and the like {think his first name was Charles anyway}.. great way of life and would love to do it.. keep the pics coming and the best of luck with all your traps..

been out trapping in new mexico silver fox red fox and bobcat , leg traps etc not a bad way to make an earner , there atrapping station in new mexico the furriers come round once a fortnight , last fall john had 103 silver foxes 5 bobcats in a eight week period not bad going ,met some goodguys out there met aguy who trapped alaska for year plus one the iditariod husky race etc he used the dogs for his trap line all the best
