moxy 617
Whilst out on my daily exploits of sneaking about the fields and worrying sheep i stumbled upon a little owl (i think?)and her brood spying at me from a hollow within an old alder tree. The hole was only 5ft up but the entrance to the cavity was a good 8ft or so up. A nice surprise and not something you regularly come across. I returned again this morning to continue with my sneaky sheep worrying and found this little fella down on the ground at the base of the tree. Couldnt resist a couple of pics before i returned it back to the safety of the hollow and away from the onlooking crows. I know the quality of the pictures are not up to much but i only carry about a point and shoot, i tried a couple of close ups but they just came out all blured.

runforyourlife 361
We seem to have lots in our area from last spring. I know of 3 nests in walls with in a few 100yards from my house, the dogs are always finding them, its great to see them doing well.
