Have located 7 dens with cubs, on the ground i shoot over, here is one of the cubs ( adjacent to my ground), before and after       This is a cub from a den not on my ground but is next door t

hero

fair play if its your job i have shifted hundreds of foxes and cubs in my years but to post pictures of it on here asking for a big slap on the back makes me spew as for arsehole and people fighting f

Im usually one of the first to complain about cub killing but the amount of foxes this man seems to have on his land is way too much and I couldn't blame him. Large litters too near one another is too much foxes and no wildlife or game could take that onslaught. As a result the fox would end up suffering too. It's just common sense fox conltrol and not someone boasting about their big ''tuff'' lurcher killing a cub.

Nor is it a picture of a fox cub shot with .243 or bigger. Seems the rifle size fitted the quarry size. Would you shoot adult foxes with a .22 though?

Ok, here's a nice, simple suggestion for everyone who is pissing and moaning.

The title is pretty explicit, you know what's in there, so if you think it might offend your tender sensibilities, then don't f#####g open it!

The man is doing his job, and if he wants to post up the results, that's his perogative. I guess it's your perogative to have a go at him, but I for one find the petty name calling and snidey insults more than a little childish. For sure, call him on it if you don't agree, no problems with that, but the old adage "play the ball, not the man" is apt at the moment. Have a go at what he's done, but please don;t resort to personal insults and name calling, it really doesn't help your argument one little bit, and is frankly quite boring.

Corky. Legally there is no minimum calibre. It has to be a firearm, you can't shoot foxes legally with an air rifle, but as long as it is conditioned on your licence for foxes it's entirely legal.

A .22LR at sensible ranges is perfectly capable of killing a fox cleanly and humanley, as long as shot placement is accurate.

Never Never shoot adult Foxes with a .22 LR, its not up to the job FULL STOP.

Reason for using .22 on Fox cub is they are called into close range (25 yds) head shot and they are gone......

This causes no distress to the other cubs as there is no loud crack from the rifle, as to all the other comments regarding posting before and after pictures, this was to show the different types of fox control used to dispose of foxes cubs have no fear and will happily pose for a picture and wairt around for you to get the gun sorted ready to shoot, this wont happen with an educated adult fox.

i only post a few pictures on here now and again for others to see, if you dont like what you see keep your thoughts to yourselfs, i dont give a F#Ck what you think !!!

what i do is reality and lets others who may be intrested in taking up a carear in fox control, know what is required.

If you want the truth regarding Foxes they are ruthless killers, the scurge of any sheep farmer, chicken farmer, pheasant estates, I WILL SHOOT AND KILL ANY ON SIGHT REGARDLESS OF AGE !!!

Thats not gonna happen, this is a forum where people give their opinions whether you like it or not. If you don't like it why don't you f**k off & start your own site so when someone disagrees with you or says something you don't like you can delete their membership - just like they do on Moochers

Sorry Corky, who was that aimed at?

If you read my post again, all I said was, either don't look at the posts that you think might offend, or if you DO choose to look at them, play the ball not the man! Getting personal, and "flaming" is sad and childish, whereas no-one minds a decent heated discussion about ethics and such.

Ah well mods' you had better put a new policy of no photos on THL if thats the reason for all the shite on this post. :wallbash:

he has every right to put any picture up that he wants as long as its legal. this site is all about people who come together through a love of hunting. the harsh reality is that no matter how defenceless a cub is it is still a pest and will eventually require disposing of if he let the cub grow up. personally i thought it was an interesting read and at least hes being clever about it rather than shooting a vixen and purposefully leaving the cubs to die. dont be so self righteous

Who said it was difficult like.........? Your just another terrier boy thats anti gun am afraid. If the boy wants to shoot foxes(any age) its f*****g up to him. Stick to working your dog and he'll stick to banging them on the lamp. If he comes on slating terrier work ad say exactly the same to him. :feck:

WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE SAME ON THIS SITE !!!

You start a post and it ends up with everyone slating one another,I do fox control, i do it to the best of my ability and give the fox the respect it deserves, i try do do it humanly at all times, they dont suffer and i don't intend to boast, the before and after picture was aimed at those who at some time might want to take up fox shooting or control, we all like to see the pictures of what others have been upto on or days/nights hunting, if you all read the post clearly before making any comments , you will have noticed i said the picture of the cub (before) was not on my land, but next door, the after picture was when i called the cub over to my ground and then disposed of it with one shot to the head from my 22 rimmy.

This action was taken as i know that the vixen will now move the remaining cubs to a new den site which is on my land, the only reason for wanting rid of this litter is that the ground it borders has a small pheasant shoot and it wont be to long until the young birds arrive, and we all know what cubs can do in a pheasant pen.

My next task will be to monitor the den site where i think she will move them to, and see if my prediction is correct, i can then freely take care of both adults 1st and the cubs will be sorted after this has been done.

This is a tactical move on my part so that i can deal with a potential disaster waiting to happen if these cubs when the pheasants arrive, i don't want to break the law by shooting onto ground that i dont have permission to do so.

Anyone can shoot fox cubs its not hard, the point of my post was to show others how to deal with a litter of cubs that are not on ground that you can shoot but are close by to your ground, cant be prosecuted for taking a picture of a fox cub on anyone's ground, and cant be prosecuted if i call and shoot it on mine

Pisses me off when all the so called do gooders start slagging each other off.

Shall we start a poll if you think it is okay to shoot a fox cub just answer YES

If you think its wrong answer NO

P.S.

if you don't like my pictures of shot foxes please don't read my posts that are marked pictures it will save all the arguing whether its right or wrong to post pictures of dead quarry of any description..

WOW !!!

your just a young cub yourself (32 years young), well done for shifting hundreds of foxes in your

"years"

THATS BOASTING.... you should try and get paid for it if you are that good, ive been doing it for around 35 years ONLY i also have shot the odd one or two in my time, and i dont need a slap on the back for doing it, as for you reply regarding our troops, your comment speaks for itself, anyone reading this will come to the conclusion that YOU are the bawbag.

We all know what they do, we dont need you or any other shooter boy to give us a lesson... We dont give a shit what you shoot. It was the mug shots of the cub that got backs up pal...If your a good shot with a stone , brick, or caty, you'll hit the feckers and stun them. It was no mean feat mate...
