J Darcy 5,871
Who needs a bow when all you really need is a 100 locals and a few spears Dan, that was the clip i was refering to earlier. Many of the animals were tied down and you can see the wire in some cases. Just who in their right mind would engineer to tie down some of those great animals so a load of africans can throw spears at them>?? It beggars belief . Sure, if those animals were able to run and charge it would at least it would be a little bit fair , but the poor fukcs are anchored.

Sorry if it was posted earlier to be honest I didn't read the full thread If they where hunting for food in a natural environment it MAY be acceptable but to contrive the video just to film a kill is plain wrong. scothunter 12,609
I can't believe you are defending this murder of a great beast. The guides all but put that lion on the end of his arrow and some are saying how wonderful and skillful for allowing a fat useless bas***d to shoot it at twenty yards. Hunting you ain't got a fe*king clue.P1 A great beast it might be, you know an African visiting England or Scotland may well view a red stag as a "great beast"? Does that make it wrong to hunt them over here? Lions are not endangered, they thrive in reserves and often need to be culled in order to maintain the Bio Diversity. I am not up on Bow hunting, but i presume its pretty vital that you get close enough to ensure a killing hit? Maybe the rangers should allow these clients to take pot shots from a good distance? Would that be better? i do think stags are great beasts, and thankfully the hunters and ghillies treat them with the respect they deserve

Your only educated argument seems to be that you don't agree with it??? If you had read my posts correctly you would see that i have said quite clearly that i have no problem with anyone not agreeing with big game hunting . . . . . My problem comes from ignorant people who do not understand or have the inclination to learn the process or science that goes into firstly running the reserves, and secondly the culture of the country . . . . . . . In my opinion your refusal to discuss your REASONS for being anti big game hunting, and to simple quash anyones else opinion, gained through first hand experience, smacks of someone who actually doesn't understand or care to understand the entire process involved. Your basing your entire argument on youtube clips! HUNTING will my friend be interpreted in different ways by different nations . . . . . such is life. The lion was stalked and killed no different to a deer in the UK, the fact you can get closer because of the nature of the beast is neither here no there, when you have FIRST HAND experience of doing it yourself then i will take you seriously. Until then you remain as ignorant and narrow minded as the tree loving, fox hunting antis.
