matt_hooks 188
Turned up at work this morning, to be told by the boss that the FEO was coming over at 11 to check out the ground. That's quick seeing as it's a different force to where I live. Anyway, a very nice officer from Wiltshire turned up and we had a nice wander round the ground. He asked me a few questions, and was impressed that I managed to show him some deer, what can I say, the place is jumping with them! We agreed on the safe sight lines, and that a few high seats will improve the shootability. The end result is he's ok'd it for all full-bore rifles, result! So just have to wait for TVP to process all the other cert stuff, and see what they give me conditions wise. I've requested open, as I'll be using it for work, and closed will be restrictive. I've got a friend who has agreed to act as mentor if they ask for it, but with my experience I hope they won't put that on as a condition. Things are finally starting to move, I'm all excited now! Alan Clark 7
That's good, soon you'll be going up the road to decide what to buy first. I'd go for the .243, like you said the air rifles are still good for the bunnies. Quote Link to post
