totally agree,I think nobody can be that out of touch with the countryside, rabies and dogwork in general,if that really is a young kid he would of bumped into a decent dogman or country lad by now,I'v

IMHO the questions were designed to trip us up and to make us talk rubbish, we've only his word for it that he's fifteen and that he's not some rabid anti.

"COULD MY DOG BE TRACED IF IT KILLED A FOX?" and so on.

It would of been better just to ignore him rather than rise to the bait.

Lads he's 15!!! Clearly new to dogs and hunting and needs some advice, yes the post was funny, but actually its quite sad that some very experienced terrier guys on here can not see past his innocence on the subject and offer him some help and advice.

Is it any wonder that there is so many fuckwits with terriers when this is how they get treated when they start out and ask for help.

Being "only" 15 is not nesessarily an excuse, some kids today seem to want instant results in everything they do. From alot younger than 15 we were out birdnesting fishing, trying to snare rabbits, learning the basics. you've either got an affinity and love for nature or you havent, if you have'nt you're better off staying away from the game.

Just my opinion.

Well rightly or wrongly when I read posts like the original one they scream anti at me.

He might be an anti,or he could be a messer,BUT if he is a genuine 15 year old lad who hasn,t got a clue and who joined a hunting forum to get help how is he going to feel getting some of those replies. :victory:

if he hasnt got a clue he shouldnt of gotten a terrier, and thinking you can just come on a hunting site ask a few questions and then youl have a good enough amount of knowledge to bring on a working terrier is the stupidest thing iv heard in a while :laugh::laugh:

Fair enough, but if I thought he was an anti or a dope who shouldn,t have dogs I would of ignored the thread, my point is that if he is a genuine kid who,s only crime was to ask a daft question then the abuse and ridicule he got was out of order.

Walked round these woods with my jack russell, first trip was just normal,on the second walk round i noticed some fresh poo, then all of a sudden a fox just bolted out infront of us in broad daylight,Lucky my jack russell is slightly fat and never caught it because it was twice the size of her lol :D.Patterdale would have most def caught it though.

Can you catch rabies from the fox and would my dogs be vaccinated for it routinely or would i have to specificly ask for that vaccine. And supposedly i had my patterdale with me and it had got hold of it,can your dog be traced?

On another note,i taught her to stalk squirrels :p.only needs to lose a couple more lbs.

Thanks for any answers.poo poo poo thats wat your talkin :feck:
