Quick mooch on the farm

Recommended Posts

I went for a short walk round at my uncle's and came back with a single Mr Bunny, taken at fairly close range while standing. There were loads of the tiny ones about but there isn't much meat on them at the moment. A few dozen woodies but they kept their distance.

The bloody lapwings were forever giving my position away even when I was well away from the area of the farm they are nesting on one would turn up.

Yes, had a few of those as well. If I'd known the woodys were up in the trees they would have been added to the score sheet.

It's a Logun Eagle, I bought it earlier in the year, before then I'd been using Matt Hooks' pair of rifles.

Haha I'm an idiot. Was sitting there thinking "I recognise that rifle" but didn't look at the user name.

Seems they're a little further on up there than down here, I'm still shooting loads of heavily pregnant does. Got another one today. Not a bad deal, one shot and 7 fewer bunnies!

I spoke to Andy today Alan, he okayed shooting on the rest of the farm. Just gotta work out where the rest of the farm is now, it's about 2000 acres or something silly! Wandered up to the top of the rape field by the railway line, it goes on forever and a day!

You'll have to bring her down and we can go have a go at the bunnies!

Shay, I'm fairly sure it's the standard stock. It's a cracking little rifle, though I'd put higher mounts on it, but it seems to work ok for Alan.

What pellets are you feeding it now?

Take him a copy of the OS map and a crayon.

I really must bring it down and have a go at your bunnies, though I think I'll wait until someone is driving down rather than carry it in the camo bag on the train. Maybe a hard case is called for.

It's taking RWS Super H Point at the moment.

You should be fine on the train. Just bring your charging adaptor down, don't bother lugging the bottle too.

I think you lot are coming down mid July anyway aren't you? With a bit of luck I might have my FAC by then! :icon_eek::laugh:
