george atkins ga 1
i have been given a fox trap which i have set just inside the bushes with a rabbit in it with its guts split open.i know there are foxes in the area as i have seen the vixen and four cubs only 50 meters from where i have set the trap.i am new to trapping foxes and i was just wondering if i am doing something seriously wrong or if there are any tips for me Quote Link to post
trapperman 474
it can be very hard to get rural foxes into a cage you may have some luck with the young uns later on though, very different from urban fox that mostly go in no problem. if you shoot a fox or know some one who has try to get its scent on the trap if its never caught before as this can help. olim 28
wouldnt it help to cover it up with branches on the outside so its not so obvious to the fox, how are the snares doing? oli Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Are you doing it for any purpose or just for fun? If you get the vixen - i hope you are going to track down and deal with the cubs? Quote Link to post
