stubby 175 Posted June 14, 2010 Report Share Posted June 14, 2010 right, Ive tried looking for some info on the net, but cant find exactly what Im after, plenty of sites give names,makes etc of rimfire ammo, but I need more rat shot, small lead shot, but whats the max distance it will travel? have also heard theres a round suitable for using inside barns/buildings etc, for shooting ferals, whats it called?, have seen sites mention cb & bb but not sure if thats it, and again, a max distance it would travel cheers all Quote Link to post

Tobias 0 Posted June 15, 2010 Report Share Posted June 15, 2010 Try RWS Zlang they are good in my CZ with a 16" barrel they are good to about 40yrd i got some for shooting squirrels around pheasant pens and feed bins as they would sit there feeding out the bins in amongst the pheasants and a normal subsonic bullet would pass clean through and damage the feeder or it could even kill or wound a poult ,the Zlang is about 30ftlb and 29grn and ive even shot them out of trees with this bullet and it never exited the squirrel but that was only with a safe backstop.They are the most silent bullet ive heard from a rimfire they are a round nose shape and a bit shorter than the winchester bullets i normally use,have you tried a company called Federal they make the dust shot for a 22rf but you need to remove your mod when using it.You could also try someone with a good air rifle which is also worth a try.
