ArchieHood 3,692
I finally got the chance to go out this evening for the first time in a while, so I decided to go to the Manor House,I could have a bit of peace and quiet and try for a few rabbits.I do like this place with its wonderful grounds and oddities. I geared up and went for a wander and saw rabbits scampering into the Rhododendrons out of sight.....except for one, he hung around and paid the price.I retrieved him and left him on a log to be watched over. I had the customary fag before continuing my journey. I spotted a rabbit about 100 yards away so made my way through the trees and bushes until I was in striking distance,I recited the Lords Prayer in my mind and sent him to sleep,he offered no more than 5 seconds of disco leg.I left him to collect on my return Things took a turn for the worse over the next 15 minutes as the heavens began to open, I grabbed the bunnies and made a hasty retreat,a short but enjoyable 75 minutes. 2 Quote Link to post

matt_hooks 188
Great shooting fella, that's supper sorted! That place looks familiar. It's not a national trust house is it, that's rented out as a house? Possibly a big one near to Lambourne? Course the formal gardens of country houses tend to look similar, but just feels like I know the place. Quote Link to post
