Hi

I am in need of some help or advice. I have a 13 month old black labrador with a slight limp on the front. Had him xrayed, both his elbows are fine and has came back with nothing out of the ordinary. It has been going on for a while now.

Any advice or knowledge would be very much appreciated on what I could do next.

Gently mobilise all the joints starting with the toes and ending with the shoulder, ie bend the wrist to it's full movement then side to side, again gentle and don't exceed its normal range of movement, if there is pain then that likely the area to start looking. Your vet should have done this but it may show up more the day after exercise wnen its stiff. Next check the pads very closely looking for pin prock holes or anything, check around the nails as well. Lastly look for any swelling or tenderness away from the joints as well.

Regards Sandymere.

when you say "a while", how long is that? And what did the vet tell you to do? He surely didn't send you out the door with some advice, medication, a request for another appointment etc?
