davyt63 1,845
I got up early this morning, because of the noise the magpie was making.while attacking our local song birds And decided to sort it out! They landed by the dog bowl in the garden which is 18yds from my sniping shot! So they weren’t getting away, far too hard to move once an AA FIELD hits them! Lol And here is the result!! Both taken with the AAS410K .22 between 4:30am & 6:30am they will not be doing that again! far too many in my area these! sky pirates! the metal spike you can see is what i used to hold them up just incase any more wanted to have an AA field for breakfast Regards Davy Edited June 13, 2010 by davyt63 2 Quote Link to post

stevieskin 4
Please be carefull guys. Having had an aquaintance recently fined 200 quid and given criminal record for shooting woodies on his garden. make sure you are legal. He claimed crop protection for his veggies, but was found guilty because it was easily feasible for him to "net" his crops. Further more, he can now no longer go hunting anywhere because he has a conviction under the Wildlife and Countryside Act so cannot use the general license conditions. Magpies making a noise is not a valid reason to shoot them anywhere, never mind in yout garden. Sorry to sound like a nagging old woman, but I would hate to see anyone in court, and also and further restrictions on our sport. Edited June 13, 2010 by stevieskin Quote Link to post

stevieskin 4
Hi Davy I wasnt trying to imply you shoot pigeons in the garden mate, just trying to make the point that the general license has conditions that should be met before shooting is carried out. I fully understand what you say about maggies and songbird conservation, I shoot plenty for the very same reason mate. I just dont want newcomers to the sport to read the thread and think they can shoot a bird cos its noisy. Quote Link to post
