Phantom 631
Well Guy's I went back to the Cemetery this evening. Decided I would go through the paddock and sneak up on the bunnies As some of you know, I had pulled off a stonker of a shot on a young Carrion Crow this morning Ranged at 50 mtrs and knocked it beak first off the fence I also had a shot at a Woody but even though I took Pix at the time, I was gutted to see that my phone had malfunctioned and it had not saved the images :wallbash: Well going through the paddock, I figured I could maybe find the Crow from this morning and take another pic. As I headed up the paddock, I noticed another Juvenile Crow in the grass not far from where I had Capped the other Corvid. Making my way closer I unslipped the baby took of the scope covers and slipped her a 16grain pellet. Continuing towards the Crow I got to 25mtrs or so and took aim; letting loose the shot. Perfection in one side out the other removing all signs of life as it went The Trophy shot Entrance Wound Exit Wound Mother Crow was not happy judging by the ruckas comming from the tree! I then found the one that I had nailed with the 50mtrs shot earlier, placed them together for a brotherly portrait. So after that, I made my way to the where I cut through into the Cemetery, but instead of going in, I set up some snares along the fence leading to Bunny Land, only 6 or so as thats all I had, wish me luck with those Once set, I then made my way into the cemetery stopping under the big old conker tree trying to see where the rest of the Crows were, but the canapy was thick and although I could hear them, I couldn't see them at all I then noticed a tiny kit wandering in front of me, litterally a few yards and it didn't seem too phased by my presance I quickly set the scope to 3.5 mag so I could see the kit clearly and given the way these tiny one have jumped about when hit in the head, I decided on a heart-lung shot. Click, phut and baby bunnie was on his way to the warren in the sky. I put my baby down and walked over to the kit expecting to need to tug its neck, but it was out cold I'm not a fan of heart/lung shots, but I figured, this would be less disturbing than having the bunny with its brain hanging out performing cartwheels. By the time I picked it up, there was no sign of life, just blood from the mouth and nose, which is typical of a heart lung shot. Second shot came much later, again from the big old tree, I spied a bunny off in the distance, it was making its way out of the hedgerow from bunnyland for a feast on the suculant grass of the Cemetery. Time for a little stalk I think so off I set. Skulking past the headstones I got to within about 25 mtrs. Placed the crosshair on the sweet spot, gentle squeeze of the trigger and bunny rolls over and sticks its rear leg in the air waving slowly as it again drops down. The final shot of the evening came about 21:30. Again I was hiding against the big old tree when I thought I saw a bunny run in front of me. It was a bunny, a half grown Black Bunny as I raised my baby, it vanished back into bunnyland :wallbash: But all was not lost, I could see a bunny way up towards the end of the cemetery so it was again, time to practice my field craft and using the headstones I made my way halfway down the cemetery when something spooked my quarry. It headed back towards the hedgerow but stopped short between two graves. I was about 50-55 mtrs away and I could now only see part of the bunny, luckilly it was its head. Now given the position of the bunny, if I'd tried to get closer, I would have exposed my outline with the sun behind me and bunny would vanish. So I laid my baby across a tall headstone and used that as a monopod. I estimated the distance to be about 50 to 55 mtrs so standing I placed the top of the post at the side of the bunnies eye and carefully talked myself through the breathing cycle twice and as I got to the hold on the second cycle, I gently let go of the shot. I did it, I bloody did it As I followed through, I saw bunny launch forward about a foot and a half. No kicking, not a twitch. This is how I found him That is without doubt the longest shot at live quarry I have ever done and having given myself a nice pat on the back I took the Group Portrait and headed off home, with a grin that would put Garfield the moggie to shame. End of day Portrait Phantom 4 Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Thank you gentlemen This M1 scope I am getting to grips with very well indeed. Using CGP I have now optimised the zero of the S200 and M1 scope to keep the pellets inside a 1 inch PBR out to almost 30 mtrs. The added bonus is the mildot at 10X Gives almost perfect 5mtr increments Just need a sun shade for it now. I would not have dared to try either of the long range shots with a 30-30 reticle on live quarry. Shay, Yes its the Ultrafire 300 lumen job, bloody good it is Thanks for the Compliments guy's.
