Phantom 631
Having played about with CGP for a few times now, I let it give the optimum trajectory for my baby and decided to convert to Metre's rather than yards, see if I can get my head around the metric system. Made the appropriate measurement adjustments in CGP (scope to bore height etc) and viewed the mildot visualisation. Instead of having two PBR Zones on the trajectory path at 30 yard zero, I now have one PBR Zone from 6.9Mtr to 29.4Mtr This gives me 33mtrs on the 1st mildot down, 39-40 2nd down, 44-45 on third dot down 49-50 on the fourth and 54-55 mtrs on the top of the post, hows that for sweet Just need the guntuff laser now Anyways I made the primary zero 26.1 mtrs so anything from 7 mtrs to 29.5 should not reguire any hold over Went out for a foray myself this morning and as I passed the Cemy on the way to Bunnyland I saw severel bunnies near to the hedgrow between it and bunnyland. Looking promissing I thought to myself Guess what, in that little crowd of bunnies sat a good half grown glossy black bunny Calling at the door I let the land owner know I was around and she told me to be aware that the black and white ferral cat was sunning itself in her back garden and she doesn't want me to pop one in its ass She also told me she had seen another 4 black kits on her front lawn. At this rate I'll have a black fur trench coat by xmas lol Saying goodbye, I told here I would keep an eye out for the ferral and give it a wide berth when I let the lead fly. Like thats gonna happen I thought! if it sees me it wont leave me alone; Last time I was up there, it bloody came and laid at my feet while I was trying to shoot the bunnies on the lawn and I was stood in a tree (not high). So to cut a long story very short, I got my baby zero'd then began wandering around. Not one bunny was seen However I did see a woody strutting its stuff on part of the driveway to the garage. Standing shot, aimed at the brain, pellet went in through it kneck Was dead before it hit the deck. Recovered my prize; took the birds portrait with my baby and plucked it on the side field, put the breast meat into a sealable plastic bag and put it in my pack. Later I could hear Carrion Crows in the big old tree in the cemy. I've not heard this much noise from them before so I went into the back garden and peered over the wire fence into the paddock. Must have been 8 or nine juviniles as well as a few adults. Many of the Juvies were stood on the fence that seperates the cemy from the paddock. I figured this was going to be about 50 mtrs so I did a brave thing and leaned over the fence, took aim on a juvenile Crow and placed the 4th dot down just on its head, waited for the side breeze to drop and let the shot fly. Down goes my 1st Carrion Crow lands beek first in the grass. Packed all my stuff away and made my way to the cemetery. No bunnies about so made my way through and over to the fence where I had knocked the young Crow over. It was still face down in the grass, so a quick pic with my rifle on the camera phone and home I came. Whats so gutting about all of the above? Just tried to transfere the pix from the phone to the laptop and the pix are not showing up on the phone :wallbash: Now I'm gonna have to go back to the cemy and find the Crow for a resit portrait session. May hang around a while as well see if blackie shows up for a lead tea. Catch ya later guy's Phantom Edited June 11, 2010 by Phantom 4 Quote Link to post
