:toast: seeds are the future

Seeded lawns take up to two years to mature to provide uniform cover. Seeding has a tendency to washout and most likely you will have to seed again to fill in spots where the grass seed didn't germinate. As with sod, youll want to make sure you chose a combination of seed that grows well in your area.

Installation and Maintenance

If you plan to do it yourself, laying sod is physically harder work than seeding (not for wimps like higgins). Once the sod is down, maintenance is relatively easy. Youll need to water the sod every day for two weeks. Also, you might fertilize twice a year. Typically, sod is resistant to weeds because it roots quickly.

Seeding is physically easier than laying sod,(better for wimps) but requires more maintenance. Youll need to fertilize regularly and actively combat weeds because the grass is susceptible to weed invasion. Also, youll need to prevent people and animals from walking over the seed for at least the first 10weeks.

Hi mate get yourself a water barrel or two and fill them before the ban .......then using a watering can you can water yor grass when you like then refill the barrels at night when they get low....sorted...and you can add the liquid lawn feed to the barrels.

Good luck with your lawn mate its looking good already.
