dave1372 83
When they did mine a few years ago now they turned it around in 3 weeks from sending in the application to receiving the certificate, so here's hoping it will be the same for you bud Quote Link to post

Oilmanjd 0
Hi, I have recently just got my sgc and the whole process took just over 13 weeks. This was through Lothian and Borders police area. I am located in Bathgate and my FEO was Ian Dickson (really nice guy). Someone else I know of in Lothian and Borders area applied about the same time as me and again, their app was also about 13 weeks from sending away to dropping through the post. Regards John. Rake aboot 4,936
Awrite. L&B have been great with applications and variation for myself over the past years. I am in East Lothian and deal with Colin Malcom. Great bloke to deal with and very helpfull. Even forgot to send in a letter saying I had sold a shotgun and when they called to remind me they were great, told me to e-mail in a scan of the letter. I have heard that other forces can be a right pain with things like this. Have to agree though,, if you are down Duns way, for Gods sake don`t let them know if you have lurchers or terriers,,,,,or computers linked to THL They`ll have them all off yeh in a shot!
