Just read in the local press .The police have issued a statement to say that the flag ban in local pubs that has been talked about on the web and in the pubs and clubs is a urban myth and has never been thought of .

yeah the pub opposite the road to me had to take down a big england flag they had hanging outside too

I'm no fan of multiculturalism but I find this hard believe.

I live in a city that has a high population of Black and Asian people, and almost everyone of the pubs I see has a St. Georges flag or a Union Jack flying from it.

Bit of a difference there. :yes: The dragon represents Wales just like the St. Georges cross represents England. The Union flag is meant to represent all of the home nations. It doesn't represent my country as it should, that's why it offends me.

I'm in agreement about being able to fly the St. Georges cross in England, you should be able to fly it whenever & wherever you want without recourse or comment. :yes:

Although why you guys want to fly a cross dedicated to a Turkish martyr who never even set foot in England & based on ancient French heraldry is beyond this simple Welshman.. :whistling:

:laugh: :laugh: :laugh::thumbs:

1. The Isle of man isn't part of the union, it's a crown protectorate. :yes:

2. The cross of St. Patrick is represented on the union flag. :yes:

St George was a brave Roman soldier who protested against the Romans' torture of Christians and died for his beliefs. The popularity of St George in England stems from the time of the early Crusades when it is said that the Normans saw him in a vision and were victorious.
