when i had decent bitch id fetch her out in mid september and kill as many day time hares as i could find till mid febuary. if they where 3ft away 300 yards id slip her.

1. a kicked up hare is flying in seconds.

2. a long slip sees a hare skipping and seeing if it needs to bother putting in the effort by the class of its persuer.

3. lurchers are breed to kill game not bend and score points.

the rule is you can run what hare you like as long as it gets rolling (i had a fella kill one while dog was still on the lead and after a few words it was not counted) this prevents arguments about distance because how could you exactlie judge yards on a flat feild? as long as its the same for every one its fair as it can be. and those who say there whippet greyhounds would stop kick ups youd want to hope so because 40 seconds latter the hare would be making it shit and if on the real land the a b s would come into play. thats why all saburu dogs are the same types.
