HELP!!!!!!

Im havin a bit of trouble trying to get my pup to retreve. He gets exited when i wind him up but when i throw anything he just calms down snifes it and comes back. Any ideas Please

tie a bit of string to it and jiggle it,the movement may excite him to mouth it,also try using a dummy made from a different material as some dogs may prefer one material over another,rabbit skin is a good bet,good luck

As mentioned, tie a bit of string onto it and let him 'course' it. It will eventually get into his head

 

once he picks the dummy up, call him back to you, get yourself low to the ground and encourage him to come back to you. hold your hand out slightly in front of you, or to the side, take hold of the dummy and hold it in the mouth for a few seconds (so he doesnt bring it to you and drop it) then LOTS of praise and make a fuss of him.
