the pikey poacher 1,157
helps to keep um in good shape mate having a few easy runs think they would die a lot younger if you just let them do nothing my dads old dog lugs that came of chalky was still killing hares at 9 years old no problem Quote Link to post
jamie1011 5
mate to be honest if you still think hes got what is required of him especially health wise then go for it. some dogs can work till the day they die. my dads old farm collie katie worked the sheep till 15. so goes to show they can do it. Romany 1,065
Good show mate..Ive had three bitches that I lamped into double figures, and these were dogs that really grafted, every week of the month every month of the year..but they were all bred from graftes and that helps But obviously you have to wind them down as they get older, big numbers are a young dogs game..having said that....... stormyboy 1,352
My old boy is 10 now and still catches a few. Keeps him in good health and he still plays like a youngster in the garden. Quote Link to post
fensaluki 35
I'm a firm beleiver in if they have had enough they'll let you know but to be fair if you you take note off the good advice you've had on this thread mate and look after her and pick her races for her i'm sure there will be pleanty of life in the old dog yet , as they say.
