Dry ferret food.

Eventually used all the rabbits in my freezer so I payed £11 for a sack of dried ferret food. The ferrets won't touch it even after soaking it overnight to make it soft. Anyone know how to get them eating it?

dont soak it.i use chudleys myself 23 quid for a bag and they eat it no probs.i give mine fresh meat aswell,but there is always dty available for them.never had any probs with it.

your ferrets are to used to getting rabbit and there just turning there noses up at the dry mix but they will get used till it mate il always give my ferrets both types of food so you never has this problem when you run out of 1 try mixing a bit of gravy in with it or chicken stock:thumbs:

they will start to eat it when they get hungry. and i normaly wait till 12 weeks before feeding dry

if you use if for kitts, then deffo moisten it with water, have seen kitts get dry biscuits stuck between their teeth before now

I alternate the foods I give my ferrets but I do prefer raw feed but do feed dry as well I use puppy food and they seem ok off it
