Im only getting two jills and one standard animal hutch. But will prbaly go ferreting on sundays as im out hunting on sats.

Also is there seasons for ferreting?

ferreting is best in my opinion from october to the begining on febuary, i normally work them once a week, but if i can get out more than once i do

I started off with two albino hobs purely because they were easy to see if they tried to go AWOL :hmm: . If you're only getting a couple and don't go out that often you can buy a special dried ferret food and suppliment this with fresh meat whenever you can.

The 'season' depends on what the weather has been like. mid to late Autumn and Winter is best because, ideally, the rabbits should have stopped breeding, got to a worthwhile size and the ground softened. The last thing you want is for the ferret to find a nest, chow down the kits and decide to have a kip under rock hard ground. :icon_eek:

Try and give them something to play with... esepcially if they are in a small hutch.
