Phantom 631
I was out at 04:00 this morning to knock over some bunnies 14 shots at bunnies and they were all wearing some kind of lead slug deflector shields Then I went to the Cemy on my way home to be greeted with the biggest fecking Woodie I had ever seen in my life Took aim at its noggin, bipod on a headstone, let the shot go as it stopped strutting its stuff; puff of feathers off its BACK It flapped its wings then tucked em up again and looked over in my direction then just fecking strutted off to the hedge, like WTF? It was like it looked over and said 'Don't mess the feathers yah tosser' I couldn't believe it. This thing was the size of a Thanks Giving Turkey I walked over to where I had hit it and it flew into the hedge then strutted over to the tree and then flew off, Obviously the shot, didn't connect with the bird other than its feathers I decided I couldn't hit a barn door if I was sat on the latch, so it was time I went home. Talk about baffled Was only when I got home I realised what it could have been (maybe). I've been using FX 16 grainers in my baby. Shay sent me a tub of washed and lubed FX pellets that put my POI a little down and left. I had left home this morning, travelling light, leaving my bag, targets and poncho's etc at home. Of course I grabbed the nearest tub of FX's and chucked a handfull into my jacket pocket. Not realising that the washed and lubed FX's were in my bag. So thats why they were all going high and right Was gonna go out this evening, but its gusting well above 25 MPH Suppose I should try and get some sleep, then try again in the morning. I want that hard b@sterd Woodie on my platter Phantom Quote Link to post
