BenBhoy 4,706 Posted June 7, 2010 Report Share Posted June 7, 2010 absolutely not. i work on a farm and we use lamb rings. we use them on the lambs within first 3 days but not the first day. they do hurt at first, but the bones in the tail of the lamb are so soft at that age and once it gets over the initial pain, it's more of an inconvenience as they get used to the ring which is thicker than the actual tail. it would be barbaric in the extreme to do that to an adult dog that looks to you for his care. 1 Quote Link to post
