lamb rings

hi guys heard a guy saying that u can dock an adult dog with a lamb ring is this possible an how does it work or is he at it ? atb

Not sure this would be legal,maybe farners are allowed to to do it on lambs,but adult dogs ?Think you would be in trouble attempting this if it didn't go wrong first,

ive done it to young pups 4 weeeks old but ana dult dog would probs chew it off cu they go real tight it would hurt its tail, out one on your finger youll see what i mean

Ive been a slaughterman for 25yrs and ive seen it done and the effects of it when it go's wrong NOT NICE pretty sure it would be illegal,worst case scenario it can cause septicemia through infection my advice is dont do it

who care's of the dog have a long or short tail ,just let it on , i have dug enough longtail dog of every kind of quarry and never had any problems whit them

 

ok i have to agree that it looks better whit a short tail

I've done it on a pup and it worked fine. The tail goes limp, the hair drops out it goes purple blue colour and it comes off within a week or so. Nothing wrong with the pup, no pain at all and the tail was fine after.

banding them up to 3 days old is ok but i wouldnt cut or band them after that an i certainly wouldnt do it to an adult dog
