shootlodge 146
I was considering joining a club for target practice & a little experience,But the club wants £ per year with £20 paper work fee,i went to see the lads there & they were all bragging about fox, deer, large caliber riles etc etc, & i found them , a little off hand to be honest. I asked for some info on shooting land & permission & where to start. Some know it all wise azz , made a comment ,' ya no chance, of gettin any, with that little thing ' huh,i though fk head. They were not helpful at all ! Not for me that place. Then i saw some site advertising a syndicate shoot for 1st year introductory £195 with all the land included to shoot, passed to 30 cal. All i ever need, i think ! Too good to be true, so i phoned the place up & went for a wander around the land, he was a gent, letting me know the do's donts & with 4,000 acre to shoot, what i could shoot & will give advice where needed with monthly meets & target days etc, here goes:) No door knocking, no lost afternoons, just plain simple get up & go:) & i can apply for 223 & larger with syn backing, all i need is a reputable field sport insurance. What are the clubs like you go to & attend , are they snotty & full of matcho sitz, i would like to have a pistol for comp use also, so i need a club in yorkshire /lancashire? http://www.theguncabinet.co.uk/Shoot-syndicate-p-807.htm Edited June 8, 2010 by shootlodge Quote Link to post

I would say go for it mate , in the grand scheme of things and with the current cost of fuel you could easily end up spending £195 driving about chapping on doors and getting no where with permission.....just go for it. All clubs have a few blokes who are complete 's just get a few quick putdowns in you repetoire and once you have embarass them a couple of times they soon shut the up when you are about: "IN THIS FANTASY WORLD OF YOURS, DO YOU HAVE ANY MAGICAL POWERS?" "What Color is the sky in your world " "I don't know what your problem is, but I'll be it's hard to pronounce." "I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public." "Did the aliens forget to remove your anal probe?" Let me guess … then your alarm clock went off and you woke up "The fact that no one understands you doesn't mean that you're an artist." "Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental. Nice rant. Please subscribe me to your newsletter. **** "NO" **** Do you have to work very hard at being a *****, or does it just come naturally? I don't think there are any medications for being "honesty impaired", but that's something hes going to have to own up to. "Your beginning to make sense…must be time to up my medication." "I like you. You remind me of when I was young and stupid." Happy shooting ! Quote Link to post
