ryan888 0
Personally i think colour of the dog does not matter if the dogs does the job the colour makes no differece to the work. Who agrees. Who disagrees. Lets see some white lurchers. Edited June 7, 2010 by ryan888 Quote Link to post

dave a 24
colour makes no odds to work, but it does make a differance to those who pretend working ability is most important when in fact they care more about looks, colour, ear carriage etc.people like that have no business keeping working dogs. poacher3161 1,766
Old wives tales steming from poachers saying they were easily seen in the dark and could be seen by the quarry or gamekeepers wich is rubbish as a jet black dog stands out as much and a fekin 2 million candel power lamp definately does and the old saying a good dog is never a bad coulour is true Quote Link to post
jamie1011 5
out of interest if colour isnt an issue why do people wear cammo or dark clothes when out hunting. in certain conditions a white dog will stick out alot more then a darker one. i know for sure if theres not much wind about or mutli dirrectional winds that carry scent and quarry are more alert they will see the dog quicker and move off. obviously you have not got the lamp on the whole time and your not shinning in every rabbits eyes so i think it does make a difference and if it doesnt then we might as well scrap the hunting clothing and so on.
