What ??????? its not down to colour how they run you get all types of coloured lurchers that are shite at nigh t.

colour makes no odds to work,but it does make a differance to those who pretend working ability is most important when in fact they care more about looks,colour,ear carriage etc.people like that have no business keeping working dogs.

Old wives tales steming from poachers saying they were easily seen in the dark and could be seen by the quarry or gamekeepers wich is rubbish as a jet black dog stands out as much and a fekin 2 million candel power lamp definately does and the old saying a good dog is never a bad coulour is truethumbs.gif

out of interest if colour isnt an issue why do people wear cammo or dark clothes when out hunting. in certain conditions a white dog will stick out alot more then a darker one. i know for sure if theres not much wind about or mutli dirrectional winds that carry scent and quarry are more alert they will see the dog quicker and move off. obviously you have not got the lamp on the whole time and your not shinning in every rabbits eyes so i think it does make a difference and if it doesnt then we might as well scrap the hunting clothing and so on.

i tend to just wrap my dog in real tree camo tape when out lamping....pain in the arse if he nips for a pish thou canny see him and its a pain in the arse to get off the next morning and leaves the dogs coat in a bit of a state

that tape is so 80's

 

try hydro dipping the dog , just stick a cork up its arse , ears, eyes , nose and japs eye before dipping
