Kay 3,709 Posted June 7, 2010 Report Share Posted June 7, 2010 I think all ferrets/ litters are very different rather than go by there age use how independent they are of there mother ... personally i have taken kits that have spent the first 3 weeks of having them huddled up in a pile crying .. i think they should be tazzing round like looneys ideally & into everything... but i dont think you can set an age ... some develop quicker than others Everyones opinions different & some like to take them at 6 weeks & some at 12 weeks.. again i think it depends on your general experience .. to a total novice it may well be a very daunting task taking on a very tiny babyish kit as would taking on a mini piranha thats slightly older Thats my two penneth on the subject anyway Quote Link to post
