FOXHUNTER 5,021
I was watching Zeppelin on the TV last night live and was captivated about how good bands were live back in the old days. I have trawled you tube today and gone back to my youth . Zeppelins Whole Lotta Love and Stairway to Heaven along with Rush - Spirit of the Radio ... Whats your favourites ??? david2363 42
I was lucky enough to see Zeppelin at Knebwoth in 1979 - I was 15/16 and told my old mum I was going on a fishing trip. Last night I watched the programme "Im in a rock and roll band" where the veiwing public voted for their favourite guitarist, singer, drummer, and ultimately the greatest rock band. Zep had someone in every category - Bonham took the best drummer accolade, beating Kieth Moon and Dave Grohl. In the big vote of the best rock band it was between the Beatles, Queen and Led Zeppelin. Led Zep were voted the winners. Robert Plant is an all round nice fella, and into his Bedlington lurchers. Edited June 6, 2010 by david2363

RicW 67
I got home one night and one of my dear neighbours was playing Andy Stuart VERY LOUD. I stood it for about 5 minutes then went ballistic. I took my hi-fi apart, carried the speakers - Goodmans, 200 watts each - up on to the garage roof, pointed them at her garden, hooked up the deck, turned up the gain to +12db, and gently lowered the stylus on Kashmir. Zep at 120db! She ran indoors and we didn't see her for a fortnight. My neighbour t'other side laughed so much he fell over. Yup, I rate Zep. Ric
