my kits colouring

ok,

have my litter of polecat ferret kits almost 3 weeks old 5 are gone silver/grey but 1 little dude is snow white..... whats the chances of an albino kit from polecat parents? is it common??

where the eyes are closed over if it looks pink then it will be an albino... if it looks dark then it will be a coloured ferret or a polecat coloured one :thumbs:

No not uncommon for this to happen it just means it a throw back and must have albino in its blood.

 

Unless you have been breeding your line true (polecat x polecat) for x amount of years and know what breedings there anything can turn up

i put silver 2 poley got silver poley and albino it depends how true the poley is as could be a white over poley check the eye slits if they are pink as above stated will be albino if it is pure white with no markings and black slits it will proberly be a black eyed white mate
