LBJ 11
I use a german wire hair pointer He is only one year old but doing very well on blood tracking I shot a small buck on sunday morning and even the buck was dead i let him "find" it. He "finds" it and dissapear (he went to the "dog bathroom") He knows how to grab them around their neck...i think its because its a dead one he grabs it on the leg. tommydeer 2
Out of interest how do Flat Coats do as deer dogs? Ive seen labradoodles, jack russells, paterdales and cocker spaniels all work perfectly on deer. what you put in, you'll get out. Theres no reason at all why a flat coat wouldnt make a great deer dog Quote Link to post
