No doubt you'll get a bucket load of grief for suggesting putting some greyhound into it . . . . . . I have a dalmation X bearded collie . . . total mutt, BUT she's, fast, driven, has stamina and intelligence to burn, great feet, fantastic nose, will give you 110% all the time, be it lamping a rabbit, flushing game or throwing herself 25ft into water to win a rosette . . . she is just an all round great dog. I've lost count of the amount of times people, including respected dog men, have suggested i put a greyhound over her to produce a lurcher . . . she's been spayed so its not an option.

The point i'm making is, a good dog is a good dog, regardless of breeding, if it has the attributes that would be useful in a working dog and it has proved itself to you time and time again, then why not. Yes there is the issue of a large litter of an unpopular cross, but then you look at the option of culling. Its a can of worms, but doable if you have the dedication and intelligence to see what is possible and use it to achieve your goal. Writting about it on an internet forum will of course make you open to critisism though.

Best of luck with the dog.

with it bein pretty fast i mite try it on the lamp just to keep it fit what do you think?

may well be a good idea,in your eyes, for me it would be a case of just having a dog for the sake of it,if your gonna treat it right and give it a good home,no one can ask for more than that, fair play to you

not knocking you mate and yes good idea to keep it fit ,i feel most of the comments will refer to what you can do with it later in life,ie BREEDING,just not my cup of tea having a dog for that reason alone thats all
