THE GRIFF 8
I have just had my shotgun interview on friday and i am expecting my licence through in the next week or so. I have never really used shotguns in the past apart from clays now and again and the odd time with my uncle. I was going to go for a 28" barrel m/c as a bit of an allrounder, I have looked at the Browning 325,425 and 525(12 bore) When I have looked at the prices its alot of money to spend on a gun thats probably mainly going to be used for rabbits, crows and pigeons, and be dragged over fences and stone walls. When I have looked around there are some cheaper 12 bores that would probably be just as good for the job, but not knowing alot about different shot and chokes its hard to choose. What would you recomend?? I have also looked at the 410's as an option, what sort of distance can you shoot at rabbits with a 410 ?? Thanks in advance for any advice. Quote Link to post
JonathanKent 16
If you have used and like brownings then I would recomend them I much like you used a friends 525 and really liked it so I bought one, I understand you feelings they are a lot of money! If you want a bowning but can't quite stretch to it, have a look at Miroku. Miroku are owned by Browning, they actually make all Brownings except for the B25 range which are made in belgium. The Miroku's are actually identical in action to the brownings and the stocks are the same set up, in terms of angles and lengths etc. when I bought my 525 the owner of the shop said that the only difference between a browning and a Miroku is the engraving and that generally the grade of wood on the lower grade guns brownings is slightly better than that used on a Miroku essentially your buying a browning, but for a bit less money, not that you could in anyway call them cheap either. Hope that helps ATB Jonno Quote Link to post
