hi ppl anyone no any reasons why me ferret could be goin bald this time last year it went bald and its starting to lose fur again any one no how i could fix this problem thnx ian

just 2 small paches she is a verry wooly jill but would asume its goin to go like last year wne she had hardly any fur

some of my jills go through a funky moult just before birth

 

they also pluck most of the hair off their feet and belly as well ...

Two small patches is nothing unless there evidence of fleas or redness or soreness on jill

they use it for there nest my jills look horrible from were they had kits as they lost there fure due to weather and having kits

Can you put a picture up and then it might give you some better answers, as could be anything here is just three

1, moulting

2, pulling out fur to line her nest

4, adrenal disease, hormone related, jill tends to lose from flank up her back and some will go completly bald

no mate i aint ever seen a flea on her yet and no redness or soreness

Could be catching her back as she jumps into and out of her nest box.Have a close look for fur stuck on something in her cage.Looks good otherwise mate.Is she housed on her own? P1

looks very much like the early sign of adrenal disease, it sarts at the rear and spreads upwards might be lucky not to lead to much but then she might go totaly bald, you can get a hormone implant to help but if im right it only lasts between 3 and 6 mths.
