i was just lokoking for some advise. when i take my pup out moocjing with my older dog and shes starting to hunt up and chase rabbits, but obviously not catching them. shes had about six runs so far. should i stop her from seeing any thing for a few more months or just carry on. she still has quite a bit of growing to do and is still very imature. cheers.

only you as an owner can interpratate when you think your pup is ready to move on with there progress every dog is different theres no set time table with dogs. being prity new to working dogs my self i had the same problem 3 years ago. main thing is if you feel she ready and quick enough to do the job easy enough but start slow and go from there. and never let her get disheartened. be sure to know when to call it a day and make sure its enjoying it otherwise what ever age you start you'l do more harm then good. maybe a few more experienced lads can help you with a few things to look out for which shows there ready to move forward then like i said you as the owner can make the right judgment.

its easy to say, dont let her get disheartened, buy that time its usually to late and you never even see it coming, bit young to be on the bunnies imo,but hey you know your own dog, right, mines nearly 10 month, and more than willing to please but another few months before her first lamping trip is planned, good luck with the dog mate

hi pal .nice pup bud.personaly bud a think think hunting about with a older dog is the best way to get them started(old dog hunting pup on lead watching )they get just as keen and exited watching the old ones woking.my pup is 9 and half month now and thats me starting him now he will get a couple of(lamped rabbit) chases on sunday and i will deside wether to start his hunting carear or keep him back till hes a year old in august . ive just always done it this way pal .not incase the pup gets put off by not catching anything .but incase a big hare gets up at your pups feet makes a pure ars£ of your pup by turning 20 times frustration kicks in and your pup starts singing like a canary .then its all been a waste of time. this is my advise pal u deside weather its good or bad. atb bud
