Lee85 44
yeah that's fine mate, i'm up on my regulations so hopefully that won't be a problem, the magpies raided 2 songbirds nests in my garden and pecked all the eggs open. dry dog food it is, i've even saved it some chicken from my tea! ratattack 111
A small amount of raw mince will be perfect, they do eat meat after all. Just an ounce or two enough to eat but not too much.

Tis TM 8
I have just caught two this morning within 12 hours of having a new call bird on site. I've had about 20 so far this year, then gave it a rest for 2 or 3 weeks and now catching the new magpies that have moved into this territory. My garden in full of song birds now after 4 years of persistent control I feed my call birds a mixture of things... house scraps, egg's, horse course mix, chicken carcass... Just remember to keep them somewhere in the shade this time of year with plenty of water, they soon perish in the heat. Happy Trapping
jackinbox99 41
wish i could put one in my garden[nosey neighbour] they've had the young black birds, goldies they've not managed to get the blue tits yet it's killing me getting up at 4-30 to shoot them, as soon as you get rid more appear Tell me about it, ive got the same problem, 4.30 / 5am every morning they are clacking like mad trying to attack the little birds nests in my garden. Ive shot 2 now, the last one caused a right row as within 5 mins of shooting it, and it laying dead on my lawn, along came another 2 magpies and 3 crows all making a right racket. Unfortunately none of them landed in positions where I could get a safe shot off, so I had to get rid of the dead magpie before the neighbours wondered what all the noise was about!
