hi all,

i really like my s400 classic and it's deadly accurate but having been doing more hide shooting and rabbit stalking lately i'm beginning to notice that its length and weight make it a bit of a drag. i have not got enough money yet but i would like to know what you guys think. i would like a rifle i ca easily carry in one hand. i have built up a criteria (If thats how you spell it) for this new rifle:

1. has to be alot shorter than my current rifle

2. has to a lot lighter than my current rifle

3. has to be a multishot PCP

i dont like the bsa ultra's cocking or stock so thats out of the question. i quite like the look of the falcon lighthunter buts its still quite long rifle. what do you guys think>

ATB

Aaron.

p.s before any of you say yes i do have noodle arms and can't be bovered to do any of this :weight_lift2: :tongue2:

I would say HW100K every time.

Excellent cocking system, best multishot system on the market.

Superb build quality.

May not be the lightest but is very well balanced.

By the way mate, forget the noodle arms thing, if you are relying on strength to hold a gun then the answer is to refine your stance.

I have only 50% strength in my right arm after a stroke, and still shoot a full length HW100. I just spent time adapting my stance to suit.

Why dont you just swap the cylinder and barrel on the one you`ve got ?

Im sure if you advertised the parts for a swap , somebody would do a trade with you , Simples

Oh and Arron , the HW100 is heavier than the S400 by a mile , and you can get a rowan mag for about £40

Might I suggest a few things:

1. A sling

2. Make/get a skeleton stock.

3. Increase your muscles.

Okay, three may seem a little harsh but it will be useful for a lot, all you need to get is a couple of weights and some time on a regular basis, it will help but whether it would be worth the time and effort is disputable.

I know you said you dont like the Ultras cocking system etc mate but i think they are brillaint rifles.

Stick a Hogun Decimeter on it and get used to the cocking sequence and you will have a super rifle.

If not then try a HW100KT like mine.

I dont find it heavy at all but i dont know how it compared in weight to your current rifle buddy.
