Loctite on mounts

Do any of you put loctite on your bases and rings ??

 

I have experienced the screws on my rings slackening off a fraction, now before anyone says it they were on tight to start with. I would say I have approx rounds through it

Hello, with small tube over allen key all shud tight well. loctite ok, until try take off, so use only little dot.

yes mate, a very small ammount is all it takens, otherwise in time the bases will tend to loosen,

 

one little dot is all it takes.

There are different strengths of threadlock so make sure you get the mildest and use it sparingly or you'll never get the screws out again.

better still use the one that is made for small screws and electronics. toolstation sell one thats for fine thread bolts.
