stealthy1 3,964
If I were you I would check out a few more vets in your area, most vets start their training on small animals, so I would be surprised if they new nothing about jill jabs Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
The drug used is Proligestone (Delvosteron by Intervet UK) its one of the few things actually licences to use on ferrets so i am supprised they didnt know this ... £60 is a decent price for a spay .. you may well find other vets quote up to £30 just for the jill jab that will need doing again .. if you have no intention of breeding this jill in the future depending on the cost your quoted for jabs elsewhere i would get her speyed Quote Link to post

I phoned about and that was my best price so i was happy to pay it anyway, specially after what i paid last year so no complaints. The consultation fee........i dont know. They mentioned something about how if any of the ferrets were bigger than average it may cost more, so i think the consultation consisted of them lookin at the ferrets, and thinking "yup they are all average size" and that was it but feck knows!
